There's Something That Brings Things Back In The New 'Pet Sematary' Trailer

Paramount has dug up the first trailer for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's Pet Sematary from Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, the duo behind the fantastic Starry Eyes. We've seen a lot of mixed reactions for the film thus far and we're sure this trailer will continue to divide. The film is definitely going for a completely different tone compared to the 1989 adaptation, not gonna lie, we're rather excited.

Give the trailer a watch and let us know what you think in the comments or on social media.

John Lithgow has taken over the role of Jud Crandall, originally played by the late, great Fred Gwynne. Jeté Laurence will play Ellie Creed, with Jason Clarke (Winchester) and Amy Seimetz (A Horrible Way to Die) as our new Louis and Rachel Creed. Twins Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie will play the iconic role of Gage Creed. actress Alyssa Brooke Levine has been cast as Zelda, with Obssa Ahmed playing Victor Pascow.

In the new adaptation from Jeff Buhler, “Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”

Paramount will release the film on April 5th, 2019.
