After recently eviscerating Woody and Slink, Chuck now set his sights on Buzz Lightyear on the lastest poster for Orion and director Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play. The poster is a part of a marketing campaign that plays on the fact that Child's Play will be releasing on the same day as Toy Story 4, and competing at the Summer box office. Both films will hit theaters on June 21st, 2019.
Chucky has gotten his hand on Buzz's laser gun on the poster, which he used to end the heroic toys life. Killed with your own weapon... what a cruel, somewhat embarrassing, way to go out.
In the contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, is unaware of its more sinister nature.
Mark Hamill is the new voice of Chucky and the cast also includes Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio and Brian Tyree Henry.
Klevberg directed from Tyler Burton Smith’s (Kung Fury) screenplay. Bear McCreary ("The Walking Dead", Godzilla: King of the Monsters) provided the film's score.
