Netflix viewership numbers always tend to come directly from Netflix, which may lead one to question their validity, but in any case it's worth letting you know that the streaming service announced over on Twitter last night that the third season of "Stranger Things", widely regarded as the best season yet, is currently shattering some impressive records.
Netflix tweeted, "40.7 million household accounts have been watching the show since its July 4 global launch — more than any other film or series in its first four days."
What they mean by that is at least 40.7 million accounts have watched some portion of the season, while also noting that "18.2 million have already finished the entire season."
In other words, the series is bigger and, in our opinion, better than ever, and we're definitely going to be getting a fourth season. We'll keep you updated on that as soon as we hear anything on it!
