Nothing compares to Stephen Gammell‘s original cover illustrations for the three classic Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark books that inspired this Summer's movie, but it's nice to see that the movie will be bringing a whole new awareness to the books that spawned an entire generation of avid horror fans (myself included).
Thanks to Harper Collins, all three of Alvin Schwartz‘s books have received new movie tie-in editions today!
And best of all, Stephen Gammell’s artwork from the original Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark appears in all its spooky glory in the book's interior!
"Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is a timeless collection of chillingly scary tales and legends, in which folklorist Alvin Schwartz offers up some of the most alarming tales of horror, dark revenge, and supernatural events of all time." The original book was followed up with More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and Scary Stories 3: More Tales to Chill Your Bones.
