Are you an '80s sci-fi fan? Then you won't want to miss this!
The team behind the '80s-centric genre documentaries In Search of Darkness, which covers all things '80s horror, and In Search of the Last Action Heroes, of course focusing on '80s action flicks, comes In Search of Tomorrow, an all new project that aims to be the best damn '80s sci-fi documentary ever created, and the third and final film to complete a very special trilogy covering the greatest decade of all.
The team behind In Search of Tomorrow explains, "In Search of Tomorrow will be the most comprehensive retrospective of the '80s Sci-Fi movie genre ever made, and, we hope, our biggest and best project to date. Like our other projects, the completed documentary will be the ultimate resource for genre fans, packed with interviews that give a fresh perspective on the films we know and love.
We'll be speaking to actors, directors, special effects maestros and writers to uncover untold stories and celebrate the unique and wonderful worlds they created. Topics we aim to cover include Sci-Fi's impact on our culture, science, and technology; it's use of pioneering SFX and epic miniatures; and of course, the incredible worldbuilding that helped bring these stories to life."
The teaser trailer for the documentary is now live and can be viewed below, we definitely encourage you to check it out! But first, a quick introduction to a new project the team will be running alongside production of In Search of Tomorrow...
As part of their strategy to democratize our filmmaking process, they're also launching a very special program: the Advisor Circle.
This unique 12-month experience will see participants help shape the project, participate in Q&A's with some of the biggest names in '80s sci-fi, livestream guest lectures together, and discuss films in a Digital Film Club.
