David Twohy‘s 2000 film Pitch Black introduced us to Vin Diesel as an action star, he then went on to reprise the role of Richard B. Riddick in 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick and most recently, 2013’s Riddick. Conversations of a fourth film in the franchise began back in 2014, with Universal rumored to be interested in making another film at that time.
Well, things have apparently hit a wall in terms of production over the last five years, but we have received a small update on Riddick 4 this week. Over on Instagram yesterday, Diesel revealed that he has received the finished script from Twohy, with film's title being Riddick 4: Furya.
"That’s the birthday present I got that I think you would all appreciate," Diesel noted, while showing off the script.
The script's cover page features the quote: "Everyone wants to be a beast until it’s time to do what real beasts do," which offers up somewhat of an insight into the film.
