[Trailer] New Animated Movie 'Scoob!' Explores The Origins Of Mystery Inc.

Warner Bros. Pictures is set to release the first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen on May 15th, 2020, and today they've unveiled the first official teaser trailer. Check it out below, along with some imaged and poster art.

Titled Scoob!, the film will tell the never-before told stories of Scooby-Doo’s origins and the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc.

Scoob! reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this global "dogpocalypse," the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

The film stars Kiersey Clemons (Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising) as Dee Dee; Zac Efron (The Greatest Showman) as Fred; Will Forte ("The Last Man on Earth") as Shaggy; Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as the infamous Dick Dastardly; Ken Jeong (Crazy Rich Asians) as Dynomutt; Tracy Morgan (What Men Want) as Captain Caveman; Gina Rodriguez (Deepwater Horizon) as Velma; Amanda Seyfried (the Mamma Mia! films) as Daphne; two-time Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) as Blue Falcon; and Frank Welker (the Transformers franchise) as Scooby-Doo.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty bummed that Matthew Lillard wasn't brought back to voice Shaggy, but other than that the film looks great!

The film is directed by Tony Cervone (Space Jam, "Duck Dodgers") and written by Kelly Fremon Craig from a story by Matt Lieberman.
