Following the release of a fantastic teaser back in December, Paramount Pictures has now kicked off the new year by releasing the full trailer for John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place Part II, which sees Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe all reprising their roles from the first film.
Last we saw the Abbotts, Blunt's Evelyn was forced to protect her family and home from extra-terrestrial creatures who hunt using their acute sense of hearing.
A Quiet Place Part II picks up right after the deadly events of the first film. The Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
Much like the aforementioned teaser, the trailer does a great job showcasing the sequel's overwhelming tension without spoiling too much. Although, it does appear we'll get a look at the actual alien invasion this time around!
Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, "Peaky Blinders") and Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator) will also star in the sequel that John Krasinski both wrote and directed.
A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters on March 20th, 2020.
