Set to begin filming in March, we've got quite an exciting update for Dustin Ferguson's '80s-set zombie film Hell of the Screaming Undead, as beloved genre film icon Lynn Lowry (Cat People, The Crazies, I Drink Your Blood) has joined the cast!
We've also learned that director Domiziano Cristopharo (The Obsessed, Ill: Final Contagium) will be shooting some second unit footage for the film in Italy!
Indie film favorites Mike Ferguson ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D", Jaws of Los Angeles) and Jasper Cole ("American Horror Story", Captured) have been cast a two ex-jailbirds who fight back against the undead hordes.
In the film, "It’s the Summer of 1988 and a powerful, unknown virus from New Guinea hits the streets of Los Angeles, turning everyday citizens into flesh hungry, screaming corpses! A tough-as-nails ex-Con "Buzz" (Ferguson) and his former cellmate Earl (Cole) escape the city and take refuge deep in the Angeles National Forest, along with two female captives. With the threat of impending doom upon them it isn’t long before tensions rise and there’s a violent showdown between not only an army of the undead, but each other as well!"
Hell of the Screaming Undead's female leads include Jenn Nangle ("Malvolia: Queen of Screams", 10/31) and Vida Ghaffari ("The Mindy Project", "Suspense"). Spookies and Street Trash producer Frank Farel will serve as executive producer for the film.
