In honor of Severin Films’ documentary Fulci for Fake, the Alamo On Demand streaming service has curated what they're calling "one of the most comprehensive collections of Italian horror and genre filmmaker Lucio Fulci all in one place," and we definitely agree with that statement! The Lucio Fulci Collection features 18 films from the Italian master of gore, created in partnership with Severin, Grindhouse Releasing, Blue Underground and others!
Alamo describes, "The faithful will find stunning new HD restorations of Fulci’s most beloved work… and newbies will be transported into a long-gone era of truly fascinating late 20th century celluloid art, marked by its place in history and consecrated by the passing of time. Come and check out Fulci, folks. But come prepared. Once you experience the films, you will never forget the man."
"Oscar-winning filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction) and Bob Murawski (The Hurt Locker), and true mavericks of the underground like William Lustig (Maniac) have set out to preserve, restore and present Fulci’s most beloved and notorious films for his legion of devoted followers and new generations of fans."
The Lucio Fulci Collection includes fan favorites such as Zombie, City of the Living Dead, House by the Cemetery, The Beyond and The New York Ripper, to more obscure Fulci gems like Aenigma, Demonia and The Devil's Honey.
But that's not all! Alamo on Demand has also unveiled two "Six Pack" collections from filmmaker Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar). Six Packs feature six awesome movies built on a theme, curated by a member of the Alamo Drafthouse programming team along with friends of the Alamo. They describe the collections as "fun, awesome movies curated for a dusk-til-dawn weekend slumber party."
You can rent single movies in the Lucio Fulci Collection for $2.99 each, or purchase them for $9.99 each. The Aster "Six Pack" collections can be rented for $13 or purchased for $42.
