Despite the death of horror author Ash Crowlin in June 2020, the sequel to his extreme horror novella Birthday Girl is still on its way!
Crowlin’s co-writer, Chase Will, will take over finishing the full-length follow-up Birthday Girl: Coronation with the help of the many notebooks left behind by the author.
In Birthday Girl: Coronation, “Young Cora’s quest to rescue her brother forces her to track down the travelling circus that has haunted her dreams for months. However, the immortal entity behind the circus has other plans for Cora’s family…and juggling morality with perseverance may destroy everything Cora’s ever known about herself."
"Cannibals, clowns, and endless carnage are just a few of the main attractions beneath the big top. Welcome to the show!"
From the notebooks of Mr. Crowlin:
"Birthday Girl: Coronation is darker than anything I’ve messed around with previously. The first book was gross, yes, but the sequel is a different sort of beast altogether. Everything else I’ve written has had a lot of blood, but this book is really about blood, and how far you’ll go to defend blood. It’s a bit like The Wizard of Oz…had the movie been written by a manic-depressive night owl with an unpaid debt to the devil."

Birthday Girl: Coronation is slated for release in May 2021.
