Pandemic be damned, Shawn Burkett's sequel to the 2016 controversially titled horror film, Don't F*ck in the Woods, is officially completed and Concept Media has shared with us some new stills! Check them out along with the official trailer and poster art, below.
In Don't F*ck in Woods 2...
"The counselors of Pine Hills Summer Camp are getting the grounds ready for the upcoming summer season. While they set up, a mysterious girl enters the camp, terrified from a horrific night of bloodshed. Little do they know, something in the woods is heading for the camp."
The film stars Brittany Blanton, Cheyenne Gordon, Kaylee Williams, Nessa Moore, Mark Justice, Jason Crowe, Kayla Elizabeth, Tom Komisar, Alex Gottmann, Kenzie Phillips, Savanna Howard and Brandy Mason.
Burkett co-wrote the script with Cheyenne Gordon, and Chris Gierowski (Don't F*ck in the Woods, Irrational Fear) produced.
Don't F*ck in the Woods 2 is currently seeking distribution. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, there are no current festival plans. But when things do get better, the film will be ready for whatever festival that wishes to embrace it.
"We just passed the movie to our sales agency, Cyfuno Ventures, and they are currently shopping it around," says Burkett. "They’re the guys who did the deal for the first one as well as Brendan Steere’s, The VelociPastor."
Gierowski adds, “Like a lot of movies that were in the can before COVID, we were able to punch it up during quarantine. We were able to get more finalized music from composer Rocky Gray, fix some audio, add some visual effects we didn’t think we would have time to get done, a couple of safe and socially distanced reshoots, get some new artwork done by horror artist Nathan Thomas Milliner. It is still a micro-budget horror, but you can tell the difference in quality compared to the first."
After being pirated, the first film became an internet sensation back in May of 2017 and briefly becoming one of IMDBb’s top 50 popular movies and top 10 in horror. And was one of their top 40 horror movies for the year. Enough to secure worldwide distribution, domestically through Gravitas Ventures and foreign distribution through Terror Films.
