'Elvira in Horrorland' - Mistress of the Dark Enters the World of 'Psycho' for New Comic Book

Elvira is back, and she's going psycho! Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, that is.

In Elvira in Horrorland, a new comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment, Elvira is herself trapped in a Multiverse of Movies. She will careen from classic to classic, faced by killers, monsters, and more, as she tries to find her way home.

Off the bat in the first issue, which is available this week, the macabre maven finds herself stalked by a hotel clerk who’s positively psycho! Can she survive the wrath of a serial killer and get to the next part of her journey, or is it all just a Hitchcock-tease?

"I’ve always been about celebrating the wonders of movies, especially fright flicks, from the classic to the cheese-tastic," said Elvira. "I’m inviting all my fans to join me on this wild rollercoaster ride through so many of my favorite horror masterpieces!"

Writer David Avallone returns once more, as Dynamite’s modern day shepherd for the voice of Elvira. He closely collaborates with the Mistress of the Dark herself, to ensure that fans new and old can truly hear each line in her captivating and iconic voice. This time they are joined by artist Silvia Califano. The rising Italian illustrator brings with her experience on similarly biting titles like Judge Dredd, Star Trek, and X-Files.

"Silvia joined me for an upcoming Elvira special – more on that soon! — and she’s one of my favorite artists to work with," said writer David Avallone. "This series is a dream for me, and I hope it will be for all horror/Elvira fans… as we bounce around through movie parodies stuffed with enough Easter Eggs for a thousand omelets."

All the fun, thrills, and spills under a series of amazing covers by returning artists Dave Acosta, John Royle, series artist Califano, and an amazing photo cover featuring the titular queen of scares herself!
