'K.O.A. (Killed on Arrival)' Promises a Weekend of Horrors You'll Never Forget

K.O.A. Killed on Arrival Horror Movie Monica Parra

We've gotten our hands on some early artwork and details for a new independent horror film from the DC/Four State area, titled K.O.A. (Killed on Arrival), which is currently funding on Indiegogo.

In K.O.A. (Killed on Arrival), "Nine people decide to take part in an exclusive V.I.P. Halloween camping adventure, "once in a lifetime" experience, they all think will be the time of their lives... or deaths!

Kamp of Antietam has a checkered past full of pirate executions, satanic cults and a fair share of missing people. Will our campers make it through the Creekside Manor of horrors or will they just be another rabble of victims... Killed on Arrival"

Written and directed by newcomer Monica Parra and produced Matt Burns, who has acted and produced in several “B” horror cult films such as Bigfoot! and Remnants. Matt also works alongside DC-based Absurd Productions Pictures and has just starred as himself in the Comic-Con documentary Small Town Heroes, now streaming on Amazon Prime!

Kevin Vanhentenwyck will be playing the film's lovable hokey campground manager, Pat. You may recall Kevin from the horror cult classic franchise Basket Case, wherein he played Duane Bradley, the oddball with a basket full of killer secrets!

Also featured in the film is a great cast from all across the greater Washington DC and Baltimore areas with some fresh new faces as well, such as Yasmin Qudah, Jeremy "Ogre" Amos, Colleen Tidd, Bruce Morries, Michael McGlynn, Rose Jenevere, Andrea Miles and introducing Michael Pecor

Jesse L. Green (Killer Campout) and Sonya Thompson ("The Walking Dead", Zombieland, Rob Zombie's Halloween 2) also star.

The film will feature special makeup effects by AMOSFX and BLANTON FX. Daniel Brooks (Fuzzy Monkey Films) and Owen D. Young (Bloody Summer Camp) will provide cinematography. Rusty Gilligan ("The Walking Dead", Marvel Comics) will serve as art director.

The filmmakers are seeking $5,000 to cover effects supplies, travel and accommodations, etc., and have currently raised over half of that amount. Head on over to the campaign page to contribute and score some fantastic perks while you're at it!

Production is slated to begin in Fall 2020 (COVID willing).
