When a synthpop artist is endorsed by the one and only Gary fucking Numan, you know you have a big ‘un on your hands. Clearly Artoffact Records recognize this, as they’ve strapped a rocket to KANGA, the producer and singer whose body of work is growing as the industrial scene takes notice. Her second full-length You And I Will Never Die was announced for a March 26 release not too long ago, with the first single “Godless” playing up her excellent production and her commanding but restrained voice.
Now, the one-woman army has released the album’s second single “Moscow,” a glistening new synthpop jam. As is trademark for her, KANGA’s layered vocals wrap around the mix, creating a scintillating sound and an irresistible listen. It feels like an evolution from her self-titled album, and aligns more with what we heard on her Eternal Daughter EP (review).
