In addition to the original 1933 classic King Kong returning to theaters in March, we've learned that Grindhouse Film Festival will also be presenting a rare 35mm screening of Ishiro Honda's King Kong vs. Godzilla at Portland, Oregon's historic Hollywood Theatre later this month!
In the film, Godzilla breaks free from an iceberg and heads straight to Tokyo to start tearing the city apart. Meanwhile, a pharmaceutical company captures King Kong and brings him to Japan. It's only a matter of time before he breaks free, and we see a colossal collision between the two mightiest monsters of all time.
The screening will happen on Tuesday, February 25th at 7:30pm. Advance tickets are on sale now and strongly recommended.
Be sure to get there early as 35mm Kaiju trailers will play before the movie!
