Dare to say his name.
Director Nia DaCosta (Little Woods) and co-writer/producer Jordan Peele's Candyman "spiritual sequel" will be hitting theaters this June, and the film's marketing campaign has begun, with the first poster arriving today.
The poster, while simple, features the titular character's iconic hook covered in honey.
In addition to the poster, we've learned the film's trailer will arrive on Thursday, February 27th. Check out a brief teaser below.
Candyman returns to the neighborhood where the legend began: the now-gentrified section of Chicago where the Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood.
Peele co-wrote the script with Win Rosenfeld.
The film stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Us, Aquaman), Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk, Chi-Raq), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits, Utopia) and Colman Domingo (HBO’s "Euphoria", If Beale Street Could Talk).
MGM brings Candyman back to theaters on June 12th, 2020.
