'Death House' Has Been Delayed Again, But For A Great Reason

December 30, 2017

Harrison Smith's Death House has been a highly anticipated film for quite some time now and it's prestige has continued to grow more and more, especially after a few convention screenings earlier this year. The film has been dubbed "The Expendables of Horror" as it includes an insane amount of genre icons.

Death House is definitely one of our most anticipated films for 2018,  sadly we will have to wait a little bit longer to see it though. Originally slated for a limited theatrical release beginning January 26th, Death House is being delayed until February 23rd. It's a bummer but it's honestly for a good reason. Watch the video and read on below for more details, also check out the trailer if you haven't done so.

It’s actually good news as indie distributor Hannover House, Inc. and theatrical subsidiary Medallion Releasing, Inc. have teamed up with Florida’s Entertainment Factory to bring the film to approximately 100 theaters across the United States! There will be public red carpet events in both Los Angeles (Thursday, Feb. 22) and New York City (Friday, Feb. 23), with many cast members and principal production team present. The film will also be getting a home video and VOD release in June through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Official Synopsis:

Death House is a 2017 American horror film written by Gunnar Hansen and directed by Harrison Smith. The film features an ensemble cast of horror icons including Kane Hodder, Barbara Crampton, Bill Moseley, Dee Wallace, Tony Todd and Camille Keaton.

During an exclusive tour, a power breakdown inside a secret prison known as the Death House sends two agents fighting through a labyrinth of horrors while being pursued by a ruthless army of roaming inmates. As they fight to escape, the agents push toward the lowest depths of the facility where they learn a supernatural group of evil beings are their only chance for survival.
