M. Night Shyamalan Says His "Tales From The Crypt" Reboot Is Most Likely Dead

December 4, 2018

In April of 2016, a "Tales From the Crypt" reboot was greenlit, but rights issues halted the project and has left us wondering for over two years if the series would ever see the light of day. Unfortunately, if doesn't look good at all.

In a recent chat with Digital Spy, M. Night Shyamalan delivered some grim details regarding the fate of the series which he was developing with TNT.

“I think it’s dead,” Shyamalan told the site. “We tried everything that we could. That was so mired in people that had rights to it… constantly mired from the original comic books to the people that did the original show and that was a very contentious era for that show and who was involved and all the stuff that had nothing to do with me, a generation before me.”

He added, “I begged them, ‘Please just give me the rights, we’ll do it this way, you’re going to be really happy’. But it didn’t work out that way and here we are.”

Damn you rights issues! God damn you all to Hell!
