Trailer For 'Hereditary' Director Ari Aster's 'Midsommar' Arrives Next Tuesday

March 2, 2019

One of our most anticipated projects of the year is the sophomore effort from Hereditary director Ari Aster. A24 have re-teamed with Aster for Midsommar, which is being described as a “Scandinavian folk horror film” and an “apocalyptic breakup movie.” The film arrives this August and we've learned that the trailer will be released next Tuesday!

A24 tweeted that the trailer will debut on Tuesday, March 5th.

You can check out the teaser GIF and the film's poster below.

The film stars Jack Reynor, Will Poulter and Florence Pugh with Vilhem Blomgren, William Jackson Harper, Ellora Torchia and Archie Madekwe.

“Pugh and Reynor will play a couple that travels to Sweden to visit their friend’s rural hometown for its fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.”

A24 will release Midsommar in theaters on August 9th, 2019.
