The Third And Final Season Of 'Ash Vs. Evil Dead' Is Finally Streaming On Netflix

April 29, 2019

It's hard to believe that today marks exactly one year since the final episode of "Ash vs. Evil Dead" aired on Starz, with the Season 3 finale sadly becoming the series finale after Starz pulled the plug on the short-lived horror-comedy delight. In celebration of that one year anniversary, Netflix has just added the third and final season to the streaming service alongside the previous two seasons.

The third season finds Ash's status in Elk Grove, Michigan has changed from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby's fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn't done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead!

As heartbreaking as it is to admit, "Ash vs. Evil Dead" isn't expected to be one of those shows that's revived after its cancellation, as Bruce Campbell has made it rather clear that he's officially retired the character of Ash. Back in April of last year, around the time of the series finale, Campbell released the following statement:

“Good people, Evil Dead fans everywhere, I bid you a heartfelt farewell playing Ash – the character I took acting lessons with for 39 years. I am hereby retiring from that portrayal. It’s time. I followed Ash from his formative years thru his mid-life crisis and decline. What a thrill! What a privilege!

We had a great resurgence with the help of Starz (kudos not jeers, folks). They made it possible for 15 more hours of Evil Dead-ness in your life – the equivalent of 10 more features!

Is Ash dead? Never. Ash is as much a concept as a person. Where there is evil in this world, there must be one to counter – man or woman, it matters not.

Thanks for watching.

Love, Bruce.”

Bruce Campbell may be done as Ash, but we're thinking we haven't seen the last of the franchise. Fede Álvarez sequel anyone?

The entire series is also available on Blu-ray and DVD.
