Scream Factory Reveals Artwork And Release Details For 'Pet Sematary Two' Collector's Edition Blu-ray

November 5, 2019

Scream Factory's Collector's Edition Blu-ray release for Mary Lambert's 1992 sequel Pet Sematary Two is headed our way early next year, and today we've got some artwork and early details to share with you.

The national street date for North America (Region A) is February 25th, 2020, and Scream Factory notes that new extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date but they have confirmed today that Lambert is "on board and very excited about the release!"

Scream Factory also revealed that the release is being presented as a Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release. The newly commissioned artwork you see pictured comes to us from artist Laz Marquez. This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the original theatrical artwork.

In the sequel, sometimes dead is better, but the shocking terror that plagued Ludlow, Maine, in Pet Sematary is still very much alive in this sequel to the 1989 hit film!

"After the death of his wife, veterinarian Chase Matthews (Anthony Edwards, Zodiac) and his 13-year-old son, Jeff (Edward Furlong, Terminator 2: Judgement Day), move to Ludlow to rebuild their lives. Antagonized by the neighborhood kids, Jeff befriends another outsider, Drew Gilbert, who lives in fear of his cruel stepfather, Gus (Clancy Brown, John Dies At The End). After Gus cold-bloodily shoots Drew's beloved dog, the boys bury the body in the local Indian burial grounds – a place rumored to have the powers of resurrection. But when evil is awakened, the boys realize that sometimes you should just let dead dogs lie."

You can pre-order your copy today from Scream Factory's website. The first 500 orders from the company's site will receive an exclusive limited-edition 18" x 24" rolled poster of the exclusive new illustration.
