'The Witch' Director's 'The Lighthouse' Washes Up On Blu-ray And DVD In January

November 26, 2019

From Robert Eggers, the visionary filmmaker behind the modern horror masterpiece The Witch, comes an hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers (Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson) on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s. As an approaching storm threatens to sweep them from the rock and strange apparitions emerge from the fog, each man begins to suspect that the other has become dangerously unmoored.

After netting a pretty cool $10 million during its limited theatrical run, The Lighthouse will wash ashore on Digital just in time for some holiday viewing on December 20th, followed by an On Demand and DVD/Blu-ray (plus Digital) release on January 7th, 2020, from Lionsgate.

Special features include an audio commentary with the co-writer and director Robert Eggers, deleted scenes, and more.

Blu-ray/DVD Special Features:

  • “The Lighthouse: A Dark & Stormy Tale” Featurette

  • Audio Commentary with Co-Writer & Director Robert Eggers
