Tom Savini Studios To Provide The Special Effects For New Horror Film From Slipknot's Corey Taylor

January 15, 2020

News broke last month that Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor had written the script for an original horror movie that he plans to direct, and Daily Dead brings us a pretty exciting update today!

Heather Wixson reports that Tom Savini Studios will be handling the special effects work for Taylor's film, as revealed to the site by Savini's right-hand man, Jason Baker!

Baker told the site, “I am thrilled that we are able to finally start slowly talking about the fact that Tom and I are going to be involved with Corey Taylor’s new horror movie, and that we will be handling the special makeup effects for it."

He adds, "We’re not allowed to talk about plot details or titles or anything like that right now, but I will say that the script is totally fucked up. Corey’s got some really sick things planned for this, and I’m super excited to be a part of it."

You may remember that Savini and his team created Taylor's new mask last year. A massive horror fan and of Savini's work in general, Taylor also recently appeared in the new '80s horror documentary, In Search of Darkness.
